  • Wall Springs Park – One of Palm Harbor’s most beloved outdoor spaces, this 210-acre park features boardwalks over mangrove wetlands, nature trails, a wildlife observation tower, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a historic spring. Great for picnics, birdwatching, and exploration.

  • ​John Chestnut Sr. Park – Big nature park on Lake Tarpon with trails, wetlands, picnic spots, and wildlife viewing.

  • Lake Tarpon – The largest freshwater lake in Pinellas County (about 2,500 acres) is a regional favorite for boating, fishing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing.

  • Downtown Palm Harbor: A charming, walkable area with local restaurants, pubs, breweries, shops, and events (including seasonal festivals and markets).

  • Pinellas Trail – A scenic trail that runs through Palm Harbor, perfect for walking, running, or biking with shaded stretches and small-town stops.

  • Nearby Beaches & Parks – While not within Palm Harbor city limits, famous Gulf Coast spots like Honeymoon Island State Park are minutes away and offer beaches, shelling, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing.

Museums & Cultural Spots
  • Palm Harbor Museum – A local history museum housed in a historic building with exhibits on the area’s citrus and fishing heritage and early settlers. Admission is free (donations appreciated).

Family Fun & Attractions
  • Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation – A longtime local animal sanctuary with primates and other rescued animals. It’s more of an educational/volunteer site than a traditional zoo, and visitors can enjoy a relaxed outdoor experience.
